Hi folks:

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed Saucy Jack the other night in the Electric. To say that I was blown away is an understatement . . .

I thought it was phenomenal! From the cabaret all the way through to the last notes of the last chorus of 'Disco' . . . The setting was fantastic - as soon as you walked in, you were immersed in the world of Saucy Jack's. The way in which every single person - the waitresses, the ensemble dancers, the bouncers, the cabaret artistes - was playing their own role all the way through made the whole experience absolutely complete.

We have talked about whether an ensemble would work for this show for a long time and whether it can work as a whole within an amateur environment. You have proven that not only can it work, it can work in ways we could not imagine . . . and what sound . . . what costumes . . . what lighting!

I sat there with my mouth open all night, locked in a giant grin. I have never met any of you, but there you were selling Saucy Jack to a packed house - and selling it big! I was very proud of you all (if I may be permitted)! And I have to admit, there were a few tears welling in the key change of Plastic, Leather and Love . . .

You may know we are putting the show on at the Albany Theatre in Deptford in association with the National Theatre. It would be great to see you there and if you do come, please make sure you say 'hello'.

Best wishes for the last performance - enjoy it as much as you deserve to - and may your days be filled with disco!
