Fringe Goers Own comments

5 stars A 'must see' 21 Aug 2002 reviewer: Mark Treadaway country: UK
This show has got it all. Great characters with names like 'Chesty Prospects', a good story, and above all great songs. If you missed this show in its previous 'outings' (pun) at the Fringe, make sure you see it this year. Well worth the short walk out of the centre of town. You too will be singing 'Glitterboots Saved My Life'.

5 stars Sizzlingly Stupendous! 14 Aug 2002 reviewer: jill mccoy country: UK
This is really great stuff! The singing and dancing are intoxicating and the Sax playing of Sammy Sax needs to be seen and heard to be believed, and his singing too is fantastic. I loved it from start to finish and would go again and again if I had time. Don't miss it!

3 stars Flawed, but an enjoyable romp 13 Aug 2002 reviewer: GLEN CALLENDER country: Canada
Certainly has much of the spirit of Rocky Horror, but its tunes fall far short of RH's brilliance. Great costumes and acting, but poor live sound mix can make it frustratingly difficult to hear the words. A poor attempt at a murder mystery in the first act... the killer isn't supposed to be the person the audience is made to suspect all along! All in all an enjoyably campy show, but it's far from a must.

5 stars Rough start turns brilliant 12 Aug 2002 reviewer: Art Fidler country: Canada
Rain, cold, late lighting installation, and a tent gave Jack a rough start, but it is really a cookin' show now. A strong, professionally skilled cast, great singing, and a love of freedom and self-fulfilment filled me and my friends with disco lust! I'm going back to Jack.To me, this is Fringe at its best and most fun. And, even better, with French's releasing the rights (or so I was told) I have a chance to produce it in Canada.

3 stars well.... 10 Aug 2002 reviewer: sha country: usa
as a rocky horror fan, comparing the two does not really work. it was an entertaining show, with good production values, but not what i was expecting. some good camp, some predicatble bits, and good tunes sung by great singers. worth seeing, but if you miss it, ,y guess is it'll be back for year 5 and you can pick it up later.
